Finally A Snow Day

Right when the snow started falling

Of course. The day AFTER I quit my job we get a snow day. The whole town is shut down. Jacksonville didn’t really think we would get anything so they only salted the bridges. Over 90 accidents happened today in our town due to ice. I’m staying in today.

The end result of our blizzard

Tomorrow morning Jeremy and I are going to the naval hospital morning. He has orientation for the TBI clinic and has to have some lab work done. Five years ago, while in Pensacola, Jeremy slipped on a unmarked, freshly waxed floor and whacked his head pretty hard. At the time he was diagnosed with a concussion. Michael and I encouraged him to go back to the doctors a few weeks ago because Jeremy has been nodding off randomly and falls asleep often. He also zones out for periods of time. He had some testing done and they see two potential spots that were damaged on his brain. Next week he has a sleep depravation eeg and two sleep study appointments. We are hoping they can figure out what’s going on and clear him in time to go to Japan. I’m really worried that Jeremy will pull out of the clinic if they won’t clear him for Japan. Hopefully we will know more tomorrow.

  1. Ya’ll live in Jacksonville, SC? My husband is at BCT at Fort Jackson, in Columbia. This snow concerns me since I’ll be out there for his graduation. Hopefully it’s gone by then!

    1. We actually are in NC by Camp Lejeune. The parts of SC we were in the other day didn’t have any snow. Hopefully its not bad when you go. Congratulations to your husband on his upcoming graduation! I know you are proud of him!
