Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

I have been so busy the past two days but I have really enjoyed them.

Yesterday I sold Sophie the Jeep. I’m going to miss her. She was the first big expensive thing I bought all on my own without a cosigner or having to borrow money from someone. I traded in my pink mustang convertible that my ex had given me to get her. Since we are going to Japan we had to figure out what to do with the cars. Even though Jeremy’s car is 8 years older than the Jeep, his car only has 50k miles on it and he owes more on his than I did. So we are going to have DMO store his car and we sold mine. Sophie will be missed.

I’m really happy that I have had a chance to start working on my photography again. I managed to get some cool pictures of the cats.

I did go back to the doctor’s yesterday. We are just waiting on lab results but the nurse told me the doctor already signed off on all the paperwork! I can pick it up Monday. Now all I have to do is get done with dental and we can turn everything in.

Every St. Patrick’s Day I have a tradition. The night before I always make Shepard’s pie and the day off I make corned beef and cabbage. I made the Shepard’s pie differently this year. I put a can of cream of mushroom soup in with the veggies. It was so good. Jeremy was bragging about it at the shop. To go with the corned beef and cabbage I made a Bailey’s Irish Cream cheesecake. It came out really well. I had never made a cheesecake before but I will be trying more cheesecake recipes in the future.

      1. He ran away a year and a half ago. :/ Actually I’m suspicious he was catnapped by the college kid who I had caught trying to put him in his car twice before when visiting his parents house across the street.

      2. After the wedding we are going to be rehoming some of our cats. We can only take two to Japan. We are taking Gizmo because we know he won’t bond to anyone else and we know when he starts getting depressed and can intervene before it gets too bad. We are taking Sansa too because he is the most attached to her. Our friend, Jodie, is taking Baby Thirteen and going to foster Kali Ma for us until we get back. We haven’t found a home yet that we like enough for Joffery. I hope we can find someone to foster him too so we can be reunited with him. I wish we didn’t have to rehome them but the military will only allow us two pets over there. We were lucky to live out in town here to have so many. If my clearances don’t come through and I have to stay here we are keeping Kali Ma and Joffery.

      3. My cat’s name was Gizmo! haha! Ya I want a kitten so they can grow around the babies ,instead of adjust to them. I had five dogs when I first moved to Houston, I had to rehome all but two to move…it was hard…still is years later by they are happy and that’s what is important!

      4. Jeremy picked that name because the cat came with the name Snowflake. Kittens are cute. I love how playful they are. Are you able to keep in touch with dogs at their new place?
