With the year winding down I wanted to reach out to see how the holidays were treating all of you. I apologize for the lack posts. As you know, for the month of November I was home visiting family in the states. I had a great time and I loved seeing everyone I could.I have lots to share with you including two fun mini trips I took while in the states. I have those posts queued up to start being shared with y’all next week. I figured some fun adventures would be the right way to kick off the new year.
I thought I when I came back from the states that I would have time in December to write but as usual, life got in the way. I ended up getting sick with jet lag and a double ear infection. I would not wish that on any one. That knocked me out for a while. After I got better, Katniss got sick with an eye infection. Once she was better then it was time to celebrate Christmas. December flew by. But I didn’t want the year to end without one last post from me.
I hope next year is a better year for all of us than 2016. I hope we all get to achieve our dreams and go on interesting adventures. 2017 will be an interesting for Jeremy and I. This will be our last full year in Iwakuni. We go home (who knows yet where home will be) in the summer of 2018. Once 2018 dawns, things will probably move too quickly to for many new Japanese adventures, so this will be the year to do everything we want to do. If you have any suggestions on what to do, see, or experience please let me know!
Happy New Year’s!
